So I used to have a Jaguar XFR but really needed some more room so decided to go to an estate... I wasn’t done with performance cars so still wanted to get something interesting and the V8 bug bit hard with the Jag... all this meant that I have ended up in an E63 AMG estate, it’s 550hp and 530lb.ft but feels even more than that as the XFR was similar power wise but probably felt a little slower than the wagon! I think the E class is a similar weight even though it’s an estate but it deffo feels a bit quicker from a roll..

Anyways some pictures,

Nice motor. Lust after a w212 wagon (or s212) myself but would probably take a 350d even though my inner child would love the 63. Bravo.

Looks nice in white but that'll be fun to clean I winter!!

My experience is that white always looks white no matter how dirty it is but black or dark colours look worse in the terrible weather!

I will still do my best to keep it looking pristine though!

Congrats on the new purchase!
As i’m looking to get into something with a big V8 before they are all phased out , how much did you loose on the jag and how many years did you own it? Did you trade it in?
Is one more expensive to insure than the other?
Completely understand if you don’t want to disclose it on a public forum..

No that’s fine, I only had the jag for a year but I ate a few thousand in depreciation... the E63 is more expensive and feels it to be honest. Insurance wise the E63 costs about the same as the jag but the Jag had a full exhaust system and a stage 1 remap declared. That being said I am paying circa £500 which is about the same as the Jag was

Clearly I know nothing about your personal circumstances but I pay that for a similarly aged E220D - so that’s not bad at all!

I have had quite a few performance cars over the years and I live in an area that’s fairly low for crime rates and the car’s on a drive that has a CCTV camera on it... (if that makes much difference) I did find that the Jag was very reasonable for insurance and servicing and running costs to be fair!

I like how you got your passenger to lean over and take the driving along dashboard shot from a driver’s eye view...

Let's not let the bar stewards grind us down!

Nice car, I'd love one in black, as per the one the nestled up behind my vanilla V8.

Yeah black looks good on these as well, I just think the facelift really sharpened these up as well. I don’t think any V8 is normally vanilla but in this circumstance I can see your point haha... I am loving the stop start at the minute, getting to hear the V8 spark up every time I have to stop for traffic lights etc is a pleasure!

Great ain't they! Would love to have a go in 1 of these biturbos, bet it's bloody rapid. What's the mpg like? Bet it's a league above performance-wise, probably sub 20 seconds 0-150 mph.
