Is it not an April fool though, it says so at the bottom of the reported press release.

Or maybe I am due one smile

I'm wondering the same...just hoping any Parrots have been isolated prior to flying overhead.

You don't feel so foolish when they are shared.

I am rather surprised that Penske aren’t involved in F1 at all, even as a minor sponsor.

You do know that they fielded their own F1 car from 1974 - 76, though based in the UK?

The last F1 win by an 'American' constructor and was it Wattie's first?

Yes, but I was referring to present day. They seem to be involved in a lot of US based motorsport and with Liberty having purchased F1, with the push to expand the US viewer base I was surprised that they hadn't been talked into it at least sponsoring a team.

Yes, I thought Liberty would have been pushing for more US involvement.

I feel like they have been but it must be very tough to get serious US$ investment in a team when the investor will know they're up against the UK F1 factory machine and Ferrari, all with at least 70 years experience. A US team also can't really have a UK factory - American labor laws, national pride, insurance and legal process makes that arrangement awfully complicated.

Best we could potentially get is another HAAS type outfit I think - and that's had at best mixed results.

Don't forget DJR/Team Penske in V8 Supercars also.
