Got some small bits and pieces I could do on the A310, plus finish oiling the cedar on one wall of the house.
Other than that, it's work from home. And walking.
It's weird going out though, everything looks so normal (no floods, slips, earthquake damage or signs of alien invasion), but there's so little activity outside.

We couldn't figure out why the sudden issue after 2500 trouble-free miles. However, we re-torqued the heads, changed the coolant, altered the settings on the EWP controller, and removed the thermostat (which the EWP makes redundant anyway). Problem appears to be gone now, with temp on short runs staying in the 85 - 90 range and coolant no longer being spat out. I need to take it out for a long, hard run to be sure, but that's not going to happen for a few weeks now.

Greased the brake caliper slider pins on the MX5 this afternoon... and discovered some Mazdaspeed suspension when I took the wheels off. That might explain why it looks a bit lower than standard!

I changed the plug wires on the 944 yesterday. They were marked with "made in West Germany" so have done really well but were on the way out.
We are "trapped" in Orewa (retirement paradise!) and can't get back to the UK until Singapore opens up for transits. Tried to re-book flights but three times they have been cancelled now booked on Singapore Airlines for 2nd May but even that is looking doubtful now. Did manage to get tickets on Qatar Airways too (at great cost) but for one reason or another couldn't make that flight so have got vouchers for the value, the only other option at the moment is Air NZ to Los Angeles and then Virgin to London but really, really do not want to shell out another huge wadge and then be left with Qatar and Singapore Airlines vouchers that I may or may not be able to use in the future. Currently holed up in a rented bungalow that we have to vacate the minute the lockdown is over and the only view is the Countdown loading bay that is bloo*y noisy with huge refrigerated trucks in and out all day!! At least we can go for a walk on the beach which is only 3 mins down the road.
At my last wof check the mechanic found a little bit of rust in the chassis of my '87 TVR S. In UK it is likely one of these would have a little bit of chassis in its rust. Repair would not be possible with the body on due to the location of the rusty tube. Over the last few days I have removed the body from the car and generally chassis condition is better than expected. Removing the body during the lock down was pretty tricky as I had to make do with what i had on hand and do it on my own.
It is now off and stowed in the garage but I still have to strip the chassis down, motor out etc but at least with the body off everything will be accessible. A few more days and I should have a bare chassis and will then have to wait until the end of the lock down to get repairs carried out.
