Western OZ - any recommendations?
Discussion
Get a lonely planet guide for Oz, that will give you the highlights.
You'll need a motor to really enjoy the West.
Off the top of my head, The pinnacles, weird rock formations a few hundred Ks north of Perth.
Margeret River to the South, nice countryside, good surfing spots.
A good drive right down to the South West, towards Albany.
Some seriously tall trees down that way, with an amazing canopy walk.
Plenty off other things to see and do, cave paintings, forest drives, camping and hiking, visiting messed up mining towns.
Have a good one and watch out for people who look like their pets......

I would avoid this place (Dubai) to be honest, it's great in the winter or spring but at that time of year a little warm (40-48 + and very humid).
However if you want to chill in a chilled pool and do your shopping indoors as well then it is fine. Hotels get their very cheap summer rates meaning you can stay in a really nice 5 star for less than a 3 in Sinapore.
Bankok however is cheaper yet and more interesting though pretty wet and very humid at that time of year.
HK is also getting into the hot humid season really but still a very fun place, it's a favourite.
Singapore never seems to change always 30 degrees with afternoon rain so i guess it doesn't really matter when you go there. might be the safest for that time of year.
Perth will be great, get down South if you can to margret river or take the opportunity to go into the desert.

FunkyGibboness and I are off to Perth the last week of July for about 3 weeks.
Any advice/recommendations as to where to stop on the way there and back (HK, Dubai, Singapore etc)?
Is there anything we must see/do whilst in and around Western Australia?
TIA

Diving on Ningallo Reef near Exmouth. Plenty on Google.
I would fly out Cathay and stop over in HK. Far more to see and do than the alternatives. Day trip to Guangzhou (Canton) in China or to Macau for instance.
