Hi Guys

I need to make up a cover for the drivers side footwell where the dash ecu and drivers door control unit flap around! All I have is loose carpet which is not holding them in place. Given my lack of child agility to patiently lie there and measure up has any kind sole got the access cover out that they could measure or draw around to give me a template? Any recommendations on the material to use to make the cover and secure it in place?

Thanks

I did one for my Sag. GRP, covered with leather cuts and held in place with a latch and velcro. Worked fine

I need one for Tamy. If I remember, I'll check Suni on Sunday. If she has one I'll remove it to copy.

Yes I need something down there as well. When the retrim was done the carpet back was sprayed liberally with adhesive and stuck in place. During the winter with the top down and the heater on full blast, the adhesive melted and the carpet started to wrap itself round my right foot - not ideal as I only noticed whilst braking for a junction!
Will be a good project to sort it out properly while stuck at home with nothing to do.

Thanks for the replies chaps. I have made a cover that drops in to some supporting brackets and covered it with the carpet. cover size 248mm x 150mm in 3mm fibreglass, job done. Bloody awkward to get at though.....

Are those the dimensions to slot into these brackets? I've got the pedal box out at the moment so would be much easier to fit at the mo.

Sorry for delay, only just seen this. There were no brackets on mine but there is a slight recess in the GRP around the recess. Those measurements allow the panel to fit in that recess.
I have the cover off my Sag at the moment and will post up the measurements tomorrow, it’s sure to be the same

If I remember correctly, you may find a write up on the one I did for my Sag in a past Sprint article. No idea which one though. It did have some pics and details of it though

Measured mine whilst I was putting the pedal box back in and these dimensions look correct to fit between the brackets as seen in my photo above.
Thanks!
