Noticed a wining noise coming from the power steering (whilst driving) my Chimp yesterday. Would this be caused by lack of power steering fluid?

Most likely, check the fluid level in the reservoir, if it is low top it up and if the whining noise goes away you have your answer. Usually happens due to a leaking hose or joint.
Any special power steering fluid or any old job?

Just used ordinary power steering stuff from Halfrauds on my old Chim when it happened to me.
