There's no history here so I'm guessing it has a different Reg number now

It's SORN so wrapped up somewhere, and has been for a very long time!

As mentioned, there's no MoT history so not had once since at least 2006 / 07 ish when they were added to a database at DVLA.

Heaven forbid the idea somebody is using it in Europe somewhere...….

A V5 was issued in Feb 2018 (a recent addition to the available data that) but could have been just a change of address.

Hadn't thought of those points ....

Well it was a special car being one of two Cerbs with 4.7 engines in them from new. Think I sold it in 2004

Interesting. Presumably it was stroked to 4.7?

If it was converted to 4.7 litres, the DVLA weren't informed. It is recorded as having a 4185cc engine. Unless it went pop of course, and a 4.2 litre engine was fitted.

It was born a 4.7. TVR made two .. one was a press car and mine which was made for a mate of Peter wheelers. A lot of Cabrera 4.5s were registered as 4.2. The registration number was on it from new R200HOT as in 200cc hotter than a normal 4 5

Fair point, my last 4.5 Cerbera was a 1997 model recorded at DVLA as a 4.2, although the engine number showed it to be a 4.5.

Something to do with type approval for the early 4.5 models I think?

this reminds me of the 5.3 ajp I dynoed years ago. story was it was built to try and break the sequential gearbox tvr were developing .. whether that was true or not I don't know, but the spread of torque was awesome

sadly pistonheads seems to not want anyone to upload any pics so I can't post the graph banghead

That's a graph we need to see! Use imgbb.com or similar?

It was a great Cerby. I was told that the engine used was from one of the Tuscans but not sure. Shane Fearn who used to look after it for me and who previously worked at TVR said that he actually built it himself at the time. On the ECU it said 4.7 when we looked on the computer. Anyway I wonder where it is now

Sorry question was wasn't the boss cerbera also a special build (since we were talking special builds). I think the spec was always kept quiet but I think was a 5.0 dry sump?
