This can't be right, someone on that is actually very good indeed.

Bloody hilarious, the best thing I've seen in ages.

Really? Maybe I’m not detecting the sarcasm.

The Colt 1911 has never been used by the British Military. A few minutes of research would have told the writers which pistols were in service, when the daughter was a Cadet.

A part from that, I’m enjoying it.

I loved it, my wife hated it. I mostly liked it because my wife was getting annoyed by it wink

Well acted, crazy plot but good fun on a dreary Sunday evening. I think only 2 episodes which is good as it won't suffer the same fate as Death in Paradise which started off well but is well past its sell-by-date.

Loved it, the 'colombo meets hot fuzz' posted above is perfect.
I mean if i see anything which has Jason Watkins in the cast i'll watch it anyway.
I was a bit daunted by the 2 hours thing but it flew by (in fairness watched 20 mins behind to fast forward the adverts).

Robert Lindsey is brilliant as well isn't he.
Loved all the "Just fk off back to London" vibes to the lead copper.......

It was billed as a drama, but I think it's more of a comedy drama, rather like Pie In The Sky in that respect (i.e. comedy drama about a policeman).

"People like you..."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, people like you from London. What did you think I meant?"

"Erm...."

Just watching it now. As an Essex boy now living in Somerset, loved it. Without overthinking it! Happily killed an hour and normally I’m more of a Bridge/Wisting/Scandinavia Noir bloke.
But I also liked The Mallorca Files, so ignore me.

If I was being objective, I'd say it was about average. However, for Sunday night TV, when something easy to watch is preferable, then it was perfectly acceptable, and I'll watch it next week.

I heard it was 'really amusing', but I didn't really find it more than 'mildly amusing at times', less than, say, Midsomer Murders or Murder She Wrote! Pie in the Sky was far better (still is when they show re-runs)

Jason Watkins was OK in his role, Tala Gouveia less so, I thought, although the meltdown in the library did suggest some humanity and was probably the best she could do with such a one-dimensional character...

Robert Lindsay wasn't entirely convincing and they exposed him as a baddie right at the beginning, not sure how they felt that would help the plot.

Not sure I'll bother watching it again, but I might give it a second chance as the first episodes of things are often a bit heavy handed with the scene setting...

Bit of a slow burner. I guess they want the main characters to warm to each other gradually. Dunno if there is more than 2 episodes planned but it seems that way.

I thought it was twaddle, but quite watchable twaddle.

No?

Edit.

Just one thing.

Could someone explain how he converted those numbers into that code - or something.

What was that about?
