My alternator has gone down, has anyone got one they are not using, mounting as per http://amerspeed.com/scgi-bin/showultimaengines.cgi left picture

It mounts on the top ...

PS I leave for Le Mans on Weds Morning

Oh dear! Try the factory first thing Monday. Also, try Real Steel. Do you have a part number? I was in need of one a while back and managed to scrounge one of a fellow builder (cheers Andy ) Better it goes now than half way down on Wednesday.

I have an old spare one but not sure if it is the same type. Mine fits low down.

Factory to the rescue .....

Richard called me on a Sunday, found me a replacement alternator to be with me tomorrow ..

That is top support ... my thanks guys...

Richard has advised me I need to run the new alteranator a max rpm to charge my battery ... looks like the trip will be quick
