the cerb with the four tuscan exhausts was having the noise check when i was standing at the checking point, even when it was rolling up to the check i think it was obvious it wasn't going to pass the test so bloody noisy
don't know how much it failed by but the noise meter blokes just shook their heads
p.s. whoever was driving the green chim in the afternoon was really going for it and was definately one of the quickest in the group on the circuit

Another Grant in the TVRCC....from Bristol aswell !
I turned up....late of course....in No.29.
U'll have to buy an ex race Tuscan....to make a threesome....u, me and Grant Wardrop....although he's from from Thames Valley area....bu we'll let 'im off that fact.
Perhaps we'll get to speak next time....I spent most of my time chin wagging with Hobbit.

Ambling round Castle Combe today in the MK2 Tuscan (after a walk in the country !!) noticed lots of activity leaving the circuit and followed a TVR Vixen on the A420 for a while back to Bristol........didn't know of the event, what was it and how may I find out about others ?.......some gorgeous cars around I must say....
Gandalf said:Nope, I was there all day from 9am .... I must have been on a walkabout, or just too busy nattering! Looking at the pic, you weren't too far from me either!

Yes Paul the car was there (see below), from around 10:00 until around 2:30pm had to leave early as we had visitors arriving.
As I didnt see you/yours I guess you arrived later?

Awww, you should have popped over.... I'd have found space to fit you in!
It was a fantastic show, and a wonderful turn out of Tivs. Can I thank everyone that turned out and showed their cars.

That would have been MrsHobbit in our T350t. I was in our Triumph, in front of the T350t

'twas a fantastic turn out, as I said. No worries Paul, with such a good turn out, I'll be applying to Castle Combe to attend as a club next year too, and I'll be asking for more space next year too. At one point we had 2 dozen cars
Thanks again to all

That's my Griff. Fame at last.
Many thanks to Karl and wife (sorry, didn't get your name)for their hospitality today. Shame that only two of us from mid-Kent could make it.
You're most welcome. Thanks for making the effort to come all the way from Kent.
MrsHobbit (Lynn) and I really enjoyed the day. It's just so worth it when you get such a cracking turn out. And such a wide range of cars too. From the multiple Vixens, Neil's 3000M, the cracking display of wedges, including a couple of quite rare models, the wonderful 'S' models, including Chris' lovely V8S, and the wide selection of colourful Chims and Griffs.
That's MrsHobbit and I in the middle of this pic, just behind the Chim...

If you're interested in knowing what we're up to in Wilts, either check the TVRCC Wiltshire regional website or, you can send me a mail to the R.O. address found on that page, and you'll receive my general ramblings reminding you about such events. I also stick things like this in Sprint in the Wiltshire news. Maybe I should stick them in the main events page, since the event had such interest!
I too would like to say what a wonderful turn out it was on the Wiltshire 'stand'. A great day out and thanks to all of those who put the hard efforts organising 'our' stand in particular Karl and Lynn. I am more than willing to participate next year. Hopefully the 'S' will be even more shiney by then!!!
PS. As for the 'Welsh lot' with their Wedges 'stealing the show' ......... I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, it was great to see so many variations of a true British car, long may that reign!
