Arteon - R-Line - No SD Card

Hello

I have just leased an Arteon R-Line so it has the upgraded Discovery Pro 9.2 Infotainment system, I was expecting the SD Cards in the glove box but it doesn't have any? Is this normal, just a blanking plate where they would normally be

Also the USB Cables have changed from Type A to Type C so I know the headunit has a 32SSD Drive and I want to utilise this to add my music to it, I have the music on my phone but would rather play through the car and not my phone, so unsure if a USB C to SD card reader will work?
