For those that knew Stridey - Michael Stride - he has sadly lost his battle with Cancer.

There is a donation link to Cancer Research UK on James Mallet's FB page.

Stridey packed a lot into his life, and was a great member of the 7 fraternity.

He will be missed!

Sad to hear.

I followed his cancer journey on Blatchat over the years although not in recent months as I don't go there too often these days.

Yes, very sad to hear. Thanks for posting.

Edit: It would be nice to post a photo of the man himself if anyone has something suitable.

Always desperately sad to hear of somebody succumbing to that awful disease so young!

Stridey's funeral is this Friday, the 13th, in keeping with his personality and sense of humour.

There will be a rather large presence of the 7 fraternity, as well as from his skateboarding life, in attendance, as is befitting for someone so well loved and liked by all who had the pleasure of getting to know him.

I will miss his banter at our Le BOG Club Sunday gatherings.
