Well, its been several months now, since Ted decided to open the doors to "The pie", and divert non motoring related topics away from the "Gassing station"....

So do the Ph massive think it has been a good move on Ted's part, or was the old format better....:scratchchin:

At first I wasn't sure, but I believe after a short "settling down" period, it has turned out to be a wise move....:)

I think its been a great success. All we need now is a Solid Gold forum so stuff like this

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=185251&f=141&h=0

can be saved for ever.

Works a treat! I probably wouldn’t spend half as much time on PH (Mind you that could be seen as a positive thing). At the end of the day there is a limit to car conversation and this takes PH beyond that.

An excellent decision.

Next we need the 'PistonX' only open between 11pm and 2am

If anything I think the humour content has gone up since the split. It works for me

It's fantastic, I take the Pie & Piston off my favourites list and all the inane drivel disappears from What's New. I can still click on the forum the old fashioned way and see what's here, which is how I saw this thread.

The Pie & Piston is the best. If laughter is the best medicine then I'm getting healthier by the minute.

What makes a Pub your favorite Pub? I would suggest it's the people who frequent it.

I am pleased that this split happened but....

I perceive P&P changing from a non-motoring discussion forum to a chatroom. I thought that was what MSM was for.

I find I have to force myself to check General Gassing now, so often nearly miss stuff.
