Any help from the more enlightened would be much appreciated.
I’ve had her fo 2 years and she’s a dream, monster but dream.
Tried all the central locking combinations and the emergency red cable, no luck and stuck

You have LPG in an Audi TTS? Impressive.

i'm told, but have never tried, that punching it helps.

hit it centrally a couple of times and then try the rip-cord thingy. some have had to resort to removing the boot trim panel in order to access the solenoid just to see what's going on with it - gunge, breakage etc

Same thing on our 66 plate A6 - had to call out Audi assist who smashed the lock then came back a few days later to replace the mechanism. They said the red plastic cable emergency back up rarely works - it felt like it was going to snap when I tried to use it.

Thanks fellow petrolheads,
Twice to my mechanic, once for a no charge clean and lube solenoid after giving the lid a good whack
A week later happened again, new solenoid
Back on the road again
Many thanks for all your help
