Having (hopefully) found the source of vibration on my car, I need to replace the NSF driveshaft but am struggling to narrow down the part number.

I have narrowed it down to 4F0407271* where the '*' can be a multitude of letters. Can anyone explain the difference the last letter makes? Is it year of manufacture or design change?

Many thanks in advance.

Have you looked at an online version of ETKA?

https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+a6+avant/a6/2006...
has the part # for n/s (for a UK car) as 4F0 407 271 H

Have a check on the linked page.

The last letter is usually a revision marker, if parts are changed as issues occur they’ll get a letter further in the alphabet. You may need to speak to a dealer to confirm the latest revision of whatever you’re after.

I thought that might be the case Cupramax

I sent a message to these guys yesterday evening www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk who responded within 30 minutes!

They confirmed which part I needed and it will arrive tomorrow for £55!
