The job was carried out by Peninsula, under £4,000 including VAT !! including Carbon twin plenum, cam M404, modified manifolds, rolling road & chip. The figure of 40 bhp was a little conservative probably near to the wheel figure !
I always recommend tuning as a package, this one really works . under the £100 per bhp guide.

I'm fitting a twin to a 4.0L in the next 2 weeks, It will certainly need a chip & dyno session to set up. wouldn't expect huge gains on a standard 4.0L, but the throttle response is the main factor for this application, it wouldn't cost you 4 grand either Plenum & air box, trumpet base? chip & RR tune £ 1500-1800

For comparision, when I had an earlier version of the ACT single-throttle plenum (plus heads, cam, manifold etc) on my 4.0 it added about 35 BHP. This is on top of the 8 BHP or so it gained when Mark Adams worked his magic on the standard engine. By the way, this was bang on what Tim had predicted it would do.

Having driven the car that had the twin throttle induction fitted by Peninsula I can honestly say that the whole set up was v impressive. The work carried out to the car was 404 cam,solid lifters, adjustable push rods, large air flow meter, rechip, stainless de cat manifolds and the twin throttle set up. The car was then set up by Mark Adams/Peninsula on the rolling road. The actual figures were 340 ilbft torque and over 330 bhp
Driving the car was the real test. The difference was incredible, fabulous performance well delivered but keeping driveability
I do not think that under 4k for these results is expensive

. Although this does mean that next year when I do have the readies available I can include this on my 'to do' list 
The car will be a road-going car (not everyday use) but will be doing up to 10 track-days a year (at the Hungaroring). Are stage 3 heads OK for this?

JE Developments make the alloy triple plenum, I know John Eales very well and we supply each other,
The Carbon Fibre system is aimed at a different market and is different in several ways, it has been designed specifically for TVRs with the shape replicating the bonnet line ( Griffith & Chimaera), it also has the airbox to accommodate the airflow meter.
The J.E plenum is aimed at vehicles with fully mapped injection as there is no integeral airbox, if you compare prices of the plenums without the air box the carbon is £190 more than the alloy and to be fair probably no difference in performance, with the carbon we have concentrated on the aesthetics.
I know Steve Heath has the triple alloy type on his 520 and i think would agree that the throttle resonse alone makes them worth all the expense, ?? maybe !
