As per the title, are there any Caterhams in NZ? Some of the roads I’ve been riding would seem ideal for a Caterham.

Theres a lot of twisty roads with relatively little traffic which makes for good driving with small light cars

Im not sure about Caterhams specifically but there are a number of Lotus 7 type cars in NZ - Lotus 7 S4s were assembled locally in the 1970s plus there are modern locally built replicas by Fraser Cars, McGregor Motorsport and others

Plus theres Elises, Ariel Atoms and the like

Definitely a few, I've seen the odd one for sale on Trademe, but prices are high. Also some genuine Lotus 7s (as opposed to the huge number of Seven-style cars often listed on Trademe as "Lotus" 7) about. As the previous poster has said, Frasers could probably be considered the local equivalent of Caterham. Leitch Motorsport in Invercargill also make a very good Lotus 7 replica. Chevrons are cheaper but for a reason wink Many self-built "Lotus 7"s about too.

Thanks for the responses. Something to follow up. I probably had space in my container to being a Caterham with me. Lack of planning! But to be honest I had no idea what the roads were going to be like until I got here and tried them out.

Hi - I know of at least 4 Caterhams in NZ.. Mine in Wellington plus there was another guy here with one. There is also one just inland from Christchurch and another a bit further south.
At least 2 of us are members of the Lotus 7 Owners club..
