Golf Mk7 1.6 TDI service indicator come on early..
Discussion
I recently did a service on said car.
Castrol long life oil (correct spec stuff) and filter. Reset service indicator.
Typically the car moans about a service every 15K or more.
This time however it has the oil change warning at 9K.
Same driving style, mainly motorway stuff.
Level is fine, oil looks absolutely fine as expected.
Slightly annoyed as the oil is not cheap for this and its not a great time to mess about with spanners
Any ideas?

Someone with VCDS or maybe Carista can reset it for you again.
If you reset the service indicator yourself it defaults to time & distance service regime which is 9,300 miles (15,000km) or 12 months, whichever occurs first. To put the car back on Longlife regime, which gives up to 18,600 miles (30,000km) / 24 months, I believe you need VCDS or similar.
