Skoda Superb Mk III - L&K vs Sportline Plus
Discussion
I have been attracted to these cars recently and because I'm retired and do probably less than 5000 a year, I wisely decided it would simply have to be the 272hp 4x4 version.
The main issue I am finding is that the L&K versions come with everything, including appealing stuff like reverse camera and heated rear seats while the Sportline Plus misses out on certain bits and pieces but gets lower suspension and a cool changable LED strip inside.
I am finding it hard to find the perfect car as I quite like the red SL+ and black in either colour.
Needless to say, I also want to pay the least money for the newest car so the magnetic brown L&K and business grey SL+ I have seen are not ideal but equally I don't want to go traipsing to the ends of the country to get offered a crap PX.
So the real question I have here is whether there is a marked difference in the handling/sportiness of these two. Does the 15mm drop make a big difference? I'm easy on the visual differences, like the wheels on both etc, quite like the chrome on the L&K but also like the spoiler on the SL+

I'm 35 and drive a Golf GTI; were I in the market for a large estate the L&K of those two would likely be my choice.
The compliance in the suspension makes for remarkably rapid progress on a crap surface as the imperfections don't disturb it at all.
There are roads around here where our work loan cars (VW Tourans with squashy suspension and balloon tyres) are faster than my own simply because they're unaffected by the terrible road surfaces.

My late 2016 L&K 280 has the colour-changing interior trim LEDs. I thought they were standard?
It has also got 19" wheels and adjustable suspension. Goes round corners well in sport mode, and is still quite comfortable.
I have the driving mode set to sport suspension, normal steering, and eco gears (freewheel/coasting mode).
It's a bit of a Q-car - looks like a boring estate car, but goes like stink when the need arises. Sounds quite sporty too when given some welly.

Ah, you may be right. I was quite drawn to the L&K waftiness and marginally prefer the wheels for ease of cleaning. There again, being few and far between, it may come down to what's available.
