1.4 na engine in 500sport / Panda 100
Discussion
Can anything be done with the 1.4 na engine in the 500 sport to get a bit more power ?
As the inlet valves are controlled by some sort of hydraulic variable timing arrangement presumably a more aggressive cam is not as easy as a more conventional set-up. Is there anything to be gained by throttle bodies In place of what is there at the moment. It would be good to get the power up to around 115-120bhp.
A second question is what are the common problems with this engine, presumably there are some.

Back in the day when this engine was fitted to the mk2b punto, a common mod was a GSR induction kit and a supersprint full exhaust. This combination was said to give it 130bhp.
I don't know how true this was but there were many happy owners with these mods. Worth asking on Fiatforum too.
