If you have the new :D photo license and you lose the paper bit cos it stinks of authoritarian nanny state nonsense make sure you understand the system before you apply for a new one.

If you call in at the post office they will give you a silly form to fill in, together with a silly book to guide you through the form cos the form is so shit.

Over a third of the forms are filled in incorrectly, so the gude book is essential. Alternativley in the real world this proves conclusively the form is shit.

If you read the silly book then it will tell you to call the parasites in Swansea and listen to the messages to enable you to:

a: Create employment in the telecoms industry
b: Continue to perpetuate the economy in Swansea which is entirely based on the DVLA

As a result of listening to the bollocks on the phone, you eventually get through to a Welsh git who asks "Have you lost both parts of your license?"

As a student of silliness of some renown, I had obviously made the call from a freinds house and answered truthfully that I had only lost the paper bit. I was told I had to fill in another lot of silly forms and send a new picture etc. Being of reasonable sound mind I leapt to some conclusions and returned home to redial and declare I had lost the lot. The numpties then sent me a complete new license.

THE CIVIL SERVICE ARE TOSSERS..... :furious:

yeah, my friend lost the paper part of his provisional. when he phoned up they said that it would be 4 weeks to get it replaced. but if he happened to lose his card aswell during the phone call then he could have a new copy of both parts in under a week!

what kind of paperwork system are they running on?
