my mk5 cortina needs some bodywork sorting (2xwings,rear valance, small dent in n/s/r panel, various 'dinks' put there by mindless dickheads with trolleys)plus its having a capri powerbulge fitted into the bonnet (extra clearance for the carb/air filter set-up on the proposed n/a 2.9 v6 conversion) and (hopefully) getting a set of gas adjustable shocks/lowered springs fitted and as much as i like the colour of the car im thinking of a change from the original metallic blue colour......to a matt black 'rat' look.

obviously i would be putting a set of mk3 capri headlamps on it and the car will be keeping its 3in rear box,rga rear and granada front spoilers but i was also thinking about a custom metal front grill, getting a 30% tint on the windows, tinting the rear lights/front indicators, blacking off the chrome around the windows/doors/gutters and either getting the series 1 rst 5-spoke alloys that are on the car redone in black or a set of 17in hockenheim-type alloys in black.

i dont have access to the likes of photoshop, otherwise i'd have done a mock-up for you.......sorry.

what do you all recon?

(pics of how the car is now are available on www.buysellcortina.co.uk ,just look in the 'ace cafe' threads for the blue mk5 with the leather interior/motolita steering wheel)

What about grilling the Capri headlights too, and leaving off the 'Ford' badge from the grille, so it has hints of Dodge Charger.

And yes, spray it matt black, 'shave' the rear doorhandles, fit glossy Wolf Race slot-mags, leave a strip of chrome around the grille, and do something creative with your exhausts (use shotgun barrels or something )
