Not sure what to think here.

Earlier today in the afternoon (about 3:20pm), I was driving southbound through a set of traffic lights in Liverpool (Aigburth Road) where there was a traffic light camera.

The lights were on still on green as the nose of my car touched the line but suddenly changed to amber.

I didn't see anything flash behind me plus another vehicle in the right hand land (I was in the left lane) went through.

Just not quite sure if I am going to get a fine and points.

From what you have written there I don't see a problem, nothing will happen.

Don't the lights always change "suddenly"?

No ,there's an App now that texts you to tell you they are about to change.

Here's a clue: they are known as red light cameras.

In the Merseyside area some red light cameras have also been made into speed cameras - the 'scheme' is called speed on green, so if you put your foot down to beat the red light, the speed cam will get you :-(
