Where does it say SPECS?

They last messed about with this bridge in 2000, when I got clobbered in a temporary 40 limit. So heed the warnings.

Maybe they'll fix it properly this time

Yep, happened that way today and it says 'Average Speed Zone' or some such. Small yellow cameras in CCTV style set above the carriageway on neo-Victorian dark blue posts.

It may just be for the duration of the roadworks; let's hope so.

The cameras are not working yet and there is no limit in force yet according to the paper. The Specs are for when work switches to the Ipswich bound carriageway iirc.

There are already reports of lots of panic braking and near misses

I went over the Bridge today, I thought the bases of the SPECS looked temporary, hopefully there wasn't a speed limit East Bound as I carried on at 70! Didn't see any signs, didn't have to worry on the way back as I was stuck in traffic all the way over the Bridge!

Some impressive looking machinery carrying out the work though!
