While working at the house, I get out-voted and we have to listen to Virgin FM.

For the last three months, I have been listening to:

Cool For Cats
The Boys Are Back In Town
My Lord
She's Electric
Shiver
In the Morning
And that Bowie song with the first line "ground control to major tom..."

All that on an endless loop!!!!

God I'm glad we can move in at the weekend!

Why do radio stations always play the same songs every bloody hour???

You have not had to listen to Alan Hyde's record collection when he does Radio Le Mans!

Space Oddity.

yeah, alot of my mates have complained about Virgin's endless repeats of certain artists. as much as i like Coldplay and ilk - it would be nice if they mixed up their playlist a bit more.

to be fair, they do some top stuff on Saturday (Rock Night?) and Virgin Sessions (live acoustic) is brill!

i even find myself drifting over to Magic 105.4 sometimes - they seem to play more rock nowadays. also keeps my mum/sister/cardigan-wearing friends happy as they like easy-listening...

This is so they can claim "they never play the same song twice" (in one day)
So they just play basically the same playlist each day instead.

Suffers from the same repitition problem, only with better music. The same three songs will be repeated in each different show throughout the day (amongst other music, obviously). So that's 4 times each.

On the way to college (back in the sweet summer of '92) we used to have to listen to Atlantic 252 because my mates Mk 1 Astra didnt have FM.

I think the DJ's (Dusty Roads et all) had about 4 or 5 records between them.

Add to that Golden Brown by The Stranglers (which I used to love, until Virgin played it to death), anything by the Stereophonics, Maroon 5, Scissor Sisters.

At least it isn't Tragic 105.4 or Fart 106.2, I swear they play the same songs every day, perhaps every hour.
