I keep a cover over the carpet in the boot to save it getting dirty. When I lifted it this morning I found the carpet was soaked and there is now a lovely big stain edged in brown. I have tried the usual stuff you would keep in the cupboard to no effect. Is this sort of water mark permanent or is there some magical cleaner which will lift it. Any tips gratefully received.

light coloured merc interiors and is a multi pupose cleaner to get hold of it you would have to phone autosmart direct i did have a 50 litre drum but sadly now is nearly empty,
it's classed as a floor cleaner but believe me its the best interior cleaner in the world ditto and you can use it to clean leather to but water'd down, has the added advantage of shifting oil of your drive

Sorry to bring this back up but the best way to remove any stain from any fabric or hard surface is proven to be Autosmarts G101 as mentioned above. Also Multifresh made by Autosmart is essentially G101 with a nice citrus frangrance to re-oderise the interior.
I must correct the above poster about the chemical though because its not actually sold primarily as a floor cleaner. Its sold as a multi purpose cleaner for absolutely anything,and i mean anything!
Its Non Caustic so its very safe on all surfaces and wont damage anything.
A mix of 10:1 with water is more than enough to clean any surface and remove even the worst soiling.
Other chemical companys such as Autoglym have tried to make similar cleaners but none are as good as G101.
Expect to pay around £11 for 5 LT's from your nearest Autosmart franchisee.
Once you've done you can follow up with Autosmart's 'Brisk'-foaming upholstery cleaner in an aerosol. This is the only foaming upholstery cleaner in an aerosol that actually works. It contains bio-cides to stop fungus growing further down the road and it has optical brightners so will really bring out the colour in those seats! About 3 quid a can.

And just for your info. Did you know that TVR chassis are actually painted using Autosmart paint??

So I took the T350 out in the rain. Had a walk with Mrs PH. Rain, rain rain. Sod that says I, boots and coats in the back of the Tov. Off home we go, heater on. etc. Still raining when we get back. Dash indoors with gear. Later, move P&J into the garage. Then have a week abroad. The sun comes out, open the garage, open the boot. AARgh! Mould! Organic matter alive in the boot. Live spores as it happens. So vacuumed up and then lots of fresh air. That's the problem with TVRs, they are airtight!
