R888 TOYO'S

am having R888 toyo tyres fitted to my griff, has anyone had these fitted and what are they like?

hard side walls, grippy as feck!

fab for track, great on the road in the dry/wet but not sure about standing water.

be carefull when its hissing down till you're sure of grip levels.

on my second set now...track mainly...luv'em

sounds interesting ,what sort of mileage are you getting from them ?

lovely thanks for that, being put on this saturday ready for le mans trip(lets hope its dry). what pressures do you run at?

mileage...? dunno, must have been 3-4k road/track.
(thats good BTW) should stand up against the normal suspects.

That sounds great,thinking of putting them on the "other" car.
any other tyre that would be up to the job ?

Not at the price, and as its a road tyre from Toyo (an approved TVR supplier) there will be no insurance issues.

Had the R888 Toyo's fitted today with a new set of EBC green stuff pads, WOW what a differance it stops so much better and corners so much better its quite remarkable what a set of dirfferant tyres can do.

Are the 215/50/ZR15s available now or have you got 16" wheels all round? Their web site refers to 15" available which would be good for me.

Been asking about this recently, can't find anyone local on the south central coast that does them . You can get them mail order, but most tyre garages here won't fit what they haven't supplied .
Anyone know anyone supplying and fittng them down south .
They are another 10mm down on diameter to the 205/55's. Affecting the ground clearance and the speedo which will lose another 1.7%, perhaps it'll be more accurate, but what the 'ell.
