A friend of my son rode home from Parma to Partridge Green this August to raise awareness of plastic in the oceans on a second hand Italian bike -

Let's hope it was a "proper" bicycle, made of steel, then.

Spectacular own goal if it were a carbon fibre/resin (ie: plastic) bike... wink

"George Comber took to a vintage Italian bike"... I doubt if there was much plastic in a bike of that age

I'm hoping this site or one of the others pick up on the story and do a full interview. I'm sure he has loads of stories to tell, and as far as I know he wasn't much of a cyclist before the trip.
