BMW 320 M SPORT AUTO

Hi,
My bmw 320 m sport xdrive diesel 66 reg was recalled for a new egr valve and got new software installed and now the gear changes jerk, sticks in gear and over revs in every gear.
BMW assist says it's a software issue but dealer finds no faults and says the car is ok.
It cant keep up with traffic, goes around roundabouts at 2000 revs then cant make its mind up which gear it should be in. It's sounds like a racing car then I look at the speedo and it's doing 20mph. It drives like someone who cant drive having bad gear changes.
Any help to remedy this problem would be appreciated.
