Been lurking for a while but thought it time to say hello.

I've owned a '97 Carrera S for about 5 months now and spend a lot of time on the Rennlist....I heard of a meet organised through PistonHeads at Virginia Water recently but missed it. Are these regular things?

Hopefully see a few of you at the next one!

Yup, Black Tie and Pie is happening in November (see the home page for the link) and there are events on every week throughout the country (see events/meeting forum).

I'm a member of rennlist, but this forum is more anglicised and a bit busier, IMHO. This makes it a bit more fun. Also, all the Porschists are lumped in together (our own choice) so we have a good time talking about each other's wise or unwise choice of machinery. Oh, and we get to gang up on the Terrible Vehicle Reliability drivers now and again, but we like Scruff - he's our pal

All in all, a decent little forum, with some good info, cheeky ribbing and a few interesting characters. Just don't get Ultra Violent started on hookers and cocaine...

Oppps...Sorry, guess its not a great into! Let me try and redeem myself:

My best mate has a Chimeara 4.5 HC and its sounds fantasic and I was seriously considering a Cerbera instead of the 993, but as this is my daily driver I did need a car that was going to be 100% reliable (no insult intended)...er, and my dads called Trevor.
