New series on Sky One, have watched the first episode and have to say....if the remaining 6 episodes are the same it will be worth watching!
Very similar to Shameless (the early series that were funnier/better)

I laughed like a drain.

A bit Guy Ritchie, perhaps, but I really enjoyed it.

I'm still a bit antsy about the title though...

About as funny as toothache, and the language is disgusting, and I'm not a prude.

Filmed on location in Bacup, the town time forgot..

Superb. Who on earth thought up a plot line of stealing a Shetland pony, then the two protagonists at the fair squaring up: your pony’s a c***, no your pony’s a c***. And splatting that fat berg all over everyone.

Genius.

My wife thinks I'm being an arse (and I am, probably), but 'brassic' should, IMO, actually be 'boracic'.

Is in not just spelt phonetically. Boracic lint - skint is pronounced brassic?

In the North West people say they are Brassic if they are skint.

Got to the end of the first one, then remembered it was supposed to be funny. Won't be watching any more.

Yes, but I'm one of those old people who, although I accept that langauge is constantly evolving, resents it smile

Rhyming slang is already a bdisation. To bastardise it still further is why we have st like "To all intensive purposes".

But anyway; after one episode, I am really enjoying Brassic (sic) wink

Just sat and watched the first 4,
It has a strange vibe.
It's extremely uncouth, amusing and laugh out loud funny in parts, however it's never mean spirited or nasty.
I'm enjoying it.

Since you are a stickler for detail (which I admire)... "sic" should always be within square brackets to show it is not part of the original quoted text.

Why does the forum censor 'bdisation', but not 'bastardise'?

watched the 1st we thought it was trying to hard to be funny, and had a very similar vibe to twin towns, only that was funny, we have stopped the series link.
