Looking for a very good wheel clamp for the ‘van which runs 14” steels with hubcaps . Can anyone recommend something good and secure ?

‘Van is on the drive and the dead end of an estate usually blocked in by my son and daughters cars anyways, but rather safe than sorry eh.

Don't waste your money, a wheel clamp will only slow the scumbags down for perhaps 10-20 seconds, we had an Ifor Williams trailer stolen a while back that had a Bulldog wheel clamp, they obviously came prepared with some sort of special tool which bent the clamp perfectly to remove it. A chain to a ground anchor would be better & you would probably hear anyone using a disc cutter to remove it.

Agree. Better to spend your money on more effective deterrents such as Disklok and Clutch Claw.

Get some stands made up & take all the wheels off - that's what I did for my Ifor Williams

That's slowing them down & causing more inconvenience than most wheel locks IMHO

Thanks for the tips,

Things have changed and I have bought a bigger ‘van. That means it’s now parked on the drive in a dead end of an estate with a wall on one side, my van next to it and both my kids cars side by side across the front of it. I think having to break into and move two cars, cut off a good solid hitch lock and wheel clamp and then make the 56 point turn to manoeuvre it off the drive would simply make it too much hassle and not worth it. IF they manage to get it, it’s insured for every eventuality under the sun.

I needed a wheel clamp for insurance purposes so have just carried on with the one supplied when I bought the ‘van.

Still worth getting the best security you can for the van when you’re away. There’s quite a lot being nicked!
