Yes, race 2 is tomorrow.
Sunday "At-The-Gate" Prices - Adults £18.00 for General Admission, Children 15 or less, free.
Paddock Transfers £5.00 each (required by persons aged over 4 entering the Paddock areas).
Grandstand Seats for Sunday £7.00 per seat if bought on the day.
That's what can and frequently does happen at Thruxton - there have been plenty of Porsche left rear failures over the years (which is their heavily laden tyre, of course). We always have to run harder compounds there due to the loadings.
Still, on a brighter note, the TVR malady moved us one step further up the podium, which was nice...

probably the worst luck was the fact that the TVR was told by the team to wait on the grass just before the finish line in order to let the winning ferrari past put it a lap down and finish in 2nd, however the TVR couldn't stop in time and went over the line meaning it had to crawl round for another lap on the puncture which lost it the 2nd and 3rd place

Well Done Ahonen!!
Nice to see Steve back in the car and you doing well. Is this the partnership that will contiue for the season? Steve's comments on DSC seemed to imply that...
Thanks!
Yep, both on board for the balance of the year. Steve's still getting used to the car, but he's getting happier all the time, while Phil is utterly fearless. I said to the guys after the race that we seem to have a junior Gilles Villeneuve on our hands - the guy is brilliant and hangs it out at all angles.
Coming from 23rd on the grid to 2nd is a dream result for us. Steve did exactly what was required in his stint and Phil was on top form. Brilliant drives.
Edit: CCharlie6 - the TVR lost the place to Cadena with its end of race finish line mishap - we'd already overtaken it as we weren't a lap down on the Ferrari.

How would that work then?
If they cross the line before the winner the time is the difference between the winner crossing the line and them recrossing the line. They can only be overtaken on this lap if the following cars have already crossed the line to start another lap (the same as the TVR) before the winner completes his final lap. If that is the case then waiting before the line would have no effect, they would be overtaken by virtue of being a lap down. If the following cars did not cross the line before the winner completes the last lap then they would be a lap down anyway, therefore the TVR crossing the line before them (one lap down) would mean the TVR was ahead.
Went yesterday supporting the Mosler and Phil Keen/Steve Hyde.
What a day, and a fantastic result for the team. And what a team they are.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day, and a richly deserved result, especially to Phil for getting the "Driver of the Meeting" trophy.
