Converting 13pin single electrics to twin
Discussion
I had a tow bar with single electrics fitted last year, predominantly to host a Atera Strada bike rack which came with a 13 pin socket.
Fast forward and we now have a caravan. I have tried a 13 pin to twin 7 pin converter but it will not power the anti snake on the caravan. The anti snake has been tested so I’m satisfied this is functional.
I’m no auto-electrician but the installer showed me how he had tapped directly to the battery with a fuse which right now has me wondering; if it’s wired purely to mirror brake/indicator/etc why does it need its own live?
What’s involved, with good instruction, in converting my existing single to twin electrics ?
The tow bar was fitted by a reputable local company but I can’t seem to raise them via phone or email.

Sounds like they haven't fully wired the 13 pin and for your bike rack that would have been fine as all it needed was the lights.
You can check it easily enough if you have multimeter:

Suspect pins 9 &/or 10 will power the stability control. Don't think pin 12 is ever used so don't worry about that.
The 13 pin to 2x7 pin converters should cause a problem as all it is is a bit of wire between a sockets.
