Dunno if I really want to get interested in it yet. Got to be up so early for work at the moment I don't want to have to stay up to see it!!

Maybe I'll leave the 1st few painful weeks alone and join in when it gets more interesting!

Perhaps I’m not the only person around that fails to understand what others find so fascinating about Big Brother?

Yep. Just like a healing graze. Should leave it alone, but I can’t help but pick it at.

Ooops. Meant to be added onto rich1231 – “but by the end I’m an addict”.

As Billy Connelly said with incredulity at the sight of the first one "What has the world come to? We're sitting in a house, watching people sitting in a house!"

Thought this was another one of your, the state as overbearing, dominating nanny" threads, BlairOut.

Reality shows? No time for them. Unlike good drama, there's little worth in repeats. They have a short shelf life. But there will be more to come. Sigh.

Now, "The Office," a reality show of sorts, that was something altogether different ...

Nope, I know Ted only allows one BB thread and I just had to get my oar in

I'll have to watch the first one at least, just to see if there are any real characters in it.

I think the vast majority of the population couldn't care less about it. I watched bits of the first series as it was something different on TV, but now after 4(?) series' it's becoming tedious. Couldn't tell you who won any of them apart from the first.

I was thinking that this year they must surely have a Grade A chav in. Looks like Maxwell fits the bill. I await the Burberry cap's appearance.

Derek.... A gay black fox hunting speach writer for Mrs T.... What a character.

As for Lesley and the hottie, it could be interesting
