Good morning all, it has been some time since i posted on here but i do read everyones chat.

Today i feel compelled to ask the community if anyone has had any brackets fall of their M4 and what could they be?? Driving along this morning after collecting my daughter I hear the sound of metal on the road. 2 minutes later after picking it up (it was very hot so i know it was mine!) another one falls off!!

My car was in for a new ABS sensor in Douglas Park Hillington, Glasgow on Wednesday, is this a coincidence or could it be something they haven't tightened correctly?

I would appreciate any feedback before I go on a rant tomorrow!

Thanks un advance

Curtis

Did they look broken or complete if that makes sense?

Hope this helps, one with bolt and one not. What does that mean? Apologies if it’s obvious I’m absolutely clueless!!

Thanks again

I wouldn’t be surprised of DP Hillington screwed up. Twice screwed up a repair on my cars. Bunch of muppets as far as I’m concerned.

Looks like they may be attached with a stud and the nuts come off (could be wrong).

Nothing to worry about, easy to refit.

Thanks all, indeed they are a pair of brackets (that don’t seem to do anything) that attach to the exhaust. To be fair to DP they took me in and showed me where they should be. I’ll get them re-fitted by an indie rather then them of course!

Thanks again
