Evening, ive recently purchased a 66 plate (2017) Mk7 Golf Gti with the performance pack.

Is there a way of confirming it does actually have the performance pack on it??

It has the red brake calipers but no GTI writing on them, ive seen some with this on.

The badges are silver and not red but the TSI on the engine cover is red so a bit confused why cars differ..

Thx in advance

The PP has a Borg Warner LSD on the end of the gearbox (VAQ) & there should be settings available for this within the drive modes.

Performance pack came with the bigger brakes the same as the r but in red. There will also be settings for the diff in the drive mode options.

Lots of people have replaced the silver badges with red ones.

I’ve got an early PP doesn’t come with the red badges.

Callipers are the obvious way to tell.

The red badges are standard fit and it should have the bigger brakes! Also in the drive mode menu it should have diff lock settings

If you want a genuine one with a load of options mines for sale

PP badges became red in 2014.

If you put the registration into one of the online checkers so popular with PHers it'll say "Golf GTi Performance", or "Golf GTi".

Check the V5, the model should be 'Golf GTI Performance' of 'Golf GTI PP', also the power on v5 should be 169(its in kw) or 180 if later mk7.5 as either way they had an extra 10hp from the standard GTI. Ive not seen the diff options in the settings at least on the early ones? The front calipers and discs are a lot bigger and red, but many of the non PPs still have red standard calipers.

I had a 2014 PP.

Brakes were red with GTI on them. Rear badge was silver.

The V5 said PP or performance pack. This also then reflected on the insurance documents I think.

There were no settings for the diff that I ever found.
