Coming from a 63 plate Swift Sport, I'm massively missing DAB and an aux in. I have the Symphony in-dash 6 CD changer and whilst I love the OEM look, it's very limiting in 2019.

Has anyone fitted a later VW group unit to their B7, because I'm wondering if something from a late model Seat Exeo will fit, given it uses the cabrio dashboard?

The exeo has the same system as the b7 a4, Just with the audi logos replaced by seat. So no Bluetooth streaming, no DAB etc.

There are direct replacement units from various Chinese sources, dynavin etc but I would get a nice pioneer or alpine Apple carplay unit with the relevant adaptors etc

Not sure if it helps, but I had an A4 cab new in ‘07 with the MMI Nav system (optional) and a factory fit (again, optional) iPod connector in the glove box. That implies to me you could connect something else instead of the iPod connector and maintain the OEM look?

I have a loose iPad connector in the glove box but I am not sure where it plugs into and what type of connector pin it is.

Should be the standard 30 pin apple connector, suitable for apple devices without their lightning connector.

Have a look at the Bovee 1000 bluetooth adapter.

It has a round adapter at one end to interface with the car, but I'm not sure where it connects. The previous owner fit a Pure Highway DAB unit, but I don't really want to tune DAB or Spotify through a poor FM signal.
