VW Repairs - 'Pattern' parts quoted
Discussion
Hi folks,
Dashboard on my Mk VII VW Golf currently lit up like a Christmas tree. She's done well, nearly 57,000 on the clock and somehow, still rolling around with all the bits she left German with - minus the tyres..
Due a new timing belt and currently in need of front brakes, I've been quoted a reasonable price for all the relevant bits and pieces to be changed but have been quoted for Patterns prices. I'm a little wary of agreeing to the work being carried out until I have a better understanding of the brand of parts they've intimated they will use - a quick Google has me concerned they may not be the best (although I'm not sure if that is dependent on the manufacturer of the vehicle they're being fitted to).
Can anyone tell me if Patterns is a brand name worth looking at, or if I should try somewhere else/ask for better parts?

Neither the belt nor the brakes will be made by VW anyway so struggling to see the issue.
You'll find the tyre warning light may need to be manually reset by holding the button after you have repaired the puncture and inflated the tyres. The low fuel light will come off with the addition of fuel to the tank.
