Come on buddy, start thinking outwith the box. Run some ideas up the flagpole and see who salutes them.

Your problem is that you just can't see the big picture and can't look outside your paradigm

I wanted to punch him

If I were you I would see if it ticks all the right boxes and then earmark it for a raft of measures then put your heads together and run it the flagpole, Finaly I would learn from your mistakes and listen to the people before making sure it never happens again.

Why don't you tell your boss that every time he talks crap you'll leave work a minute earlier.

That way you can incentivise him to communicate in a more inclusive level, by not operating on a second tier plane. As such, all the human resources, with whom he interacts with, will be further empowered and motivated to increase scaleable productivity without the need to increase overhead expenditure.

Hmm, I see your point, but surely it's best practice to get all your ducks in a row first?

Tell him to Stove Pipe his ideas. Then say you have a load of reports to write, and your going home to knock one out this afternoon.

I had an e-shot from an AV company wanting me to 'digitalise' something.

I replied to say the word was 'digitise' but I don't think they can read!
