My Mini will nudge a ton with a nicely tweaked 1275cc A series. What that thing will do can only be imagined.
Personally, the VTEC conversion appeals to me.

Ours show 110mph on 3.44 diff and Cooper S conversion (carb) - small wing mirror, plat and not fogs help with the last 5

2.9 FD with a stick on front plate, 1 wing mirror (2 now though) all windows closed pulling about 5400rpm at 4am in the morning (night shift) kept that up for about 15 seconds and then thought better of it and went back to cruising at 80

I thought that a marcos beat the edwards mini in the last fastest mini in the world race?

The Edwards Mini did not win the title because of an electrical failure in the first race while leading. The Marcos won the first race because Edwards retired. However in the 2nd race Edwards was miles faster than anyone else. He got fastest laps in both races but the Marcos won the title because it finished 2nd in the second race.

A shallow victoryfor the Marcos as Pete Ecwards was the fastest and still is the fastest Mini man around!

Mine will be low 3's but traction an issue.

Does it steer well with all that meat up front?

I'm interrested in the racy TR6. How didi you get all that hp out of an ohv 2.5? Do you have some tasty pics to post?

Looks like thats going to be to dam heavy... The new LS1 Chevy wieghts about the same as the old Iron unit..

I'm still on target for under 600 Kgs, just saved another 12 Kgs on the front uprights by using the Raceleda ally versions... I'll be there to fight all takers at Avon Park hopfully next year...

A Mini has to be a inline 4 cylinder 1300, don't you think ???
