UPDATE on the M5 competition
Discussion
HI all for those that are interested in the F90 M5 CP, I have now covered 2200 miles in mine.
No squeaks from the brakes and no interior rattles, all perfect.
The car is getting a bit more loosened up and becoming a bit more economical, throttle response is instant, three figures coming up in seconds so need to be careful every drive. After the F10 M5 CP and the M6 GC CP this car is the best yet all round and 4 wheel drive (which TBH you don't notice) must be helping, even in heavy rain the car just sits down and goes.
The suspension (according to some u tubers who just test drive these cars and will never own one) is too stiff!!, I find it's not a great deal stiffer than the F90 M5 which I owned last year, it's tighter in cornering, sits lower and remains flat even when pushing into corners/turns, an improvement in controlling the car when pushing on and I drive some really s
te roads, as soon as i'm out on open roads it's into Sport Steering/ Sport Suspension and Sport+ engine, these are my go to settings in M1, M2 is set M dynamic Sport/ Sport+.
The car around town in comfort is very good and this car can potter or blast at the press of a button, all things in one package.
A word about weight, the car seems to shrink around you and does not feel heavy, however when on it on A/B roads you can feel it some. The car does attract some good attention which surprises me somewhat as many just see it as a 5 series.
I hope this gives some incite into this monster. Best regards J

Very interesting.
Whats it like in terms of cabin noise and that sort of thing? I'm guessing it's a Rolls Royce in comparison to the M3/4 CP?
I keep meaning to have a test drive, as I would definitely consider one next, but never get round to it.
It's well sound proofed, though you can hear the exhaust in Sport+, nice sound. Comfort top class.Whats it like in terms of cabin noise and that sort of thing? I'm guessing it's a Rolls Royce in comparison to the M3/4 CP?

Good stuff, John, i’m glad you’re enjoying that amazing machine. I love M5s as you know, but the F90 just seems way too big now. Nothing for me will better my E60 in M-mode, full attack. The way that thing accelerated beyond 100 was astonishing! I will no doubt get an F90 sooner or later, they just win, don’t they?

There is a hi spec comp at Shaks cars for 64995.
Very tempting at that money, especially with BW sound upgrade.
I would like to see that car for that money any links?.Very tempting at that money, especially with BW sound upgrade.
EDIT : Seen That one a mate looked at it, not sure why he left it , it looks ok.

Seems a bit cheaper than the rest at that price for what is a very nice spec but I'm in the SW and it's a long haul to look at it!
Cheapest one out there, makes me a bit suspicious, IF it has anything on it that's not STD, BMW will NOT honor the warantee I'm told.Remember it's an independent trader.

I'd rather pay vastly more money to buy one from the BMW dealer less than a mile from there.EDIT : Seen That one a mate looked at it, not sure why he left it , it looks ok.
I know plenty of people who've looked at cars there - it's only 12 miles from me.
So I assume they have a bad reputation up there then? Surprising given the vast array of expensive cars they have.
There’s a first sub £60k M5 on autotrader now too, so could be an early move by them to sell it quickly.
I won’t be driving from Devon to look at but be interesting to see how quickly it does go.
