Tyrepal system
Discussion
I've just installed the tyrepal system on the caravan. The car has it's own TPMS but I've always worried about the caravan because the recommended tyre pressure is 65 psi on 195 70 R15c tyres which have a max recommended pressure of 65 psi. Hopefully the Tyrepal will alert me to any problems.
Anyone else use this system?

I've got the Tyrepal system on my truck & 5th wheel, works really well, the only thing that I'm not so keen on is having to remove & refit the sensors when correcting pressures. They do a "flow through" sensor which I wish I'd bought at the time, having 10 to change though, it can wait. It's a bit scary the first journey, you see how much pressure increases with temperatures as you drive.
I'm a cheapskate, so got the favoto HK45

Installation is a cinch, and the readings are the same as two other tyre pressure gauges I've tried.

Considering getting one of these systems though in all likelihood a Chinese job rather than a genuine Tyrepal as they seem a bit overpriced.
Only thing with the tyrepal is that it will monitor 6 sensors (car + caravan), I sure there are some others that would but I can't figure out which. That said I don't really need it on the car at the moment as it's a BMW on run flats with an ABS based tyre warning system. Early indication of a flat on the 'van would be good though as I understand it rarely ends well if you don't notice it soon enough.
On a side note anyone use Tyrons on their caravan? Haven't got them on mine but might consider it.

I took the Tyrons off my caravan and use the Tyrepal instead. I have used it for only one trip so far, but I think having an indication something is happening before it does get worse is better than the Tyron system which works after the fact. I'd imagine the tyre will still get mangled with Tyron, whereas you stand a fighting chance of stopping before damage occurs with the Tyrepal. The system will monitor up to 22 tyres at a time.
