Can anyone recommend the cheapest place/web site to get one from? My old man wants one, can anyone help?

This may have been covered in the "Honda Civic Type R thread " but I can't afford to take a week off work to read through it

Thanks.

- brave man, asking that!

Try asking on a dedicated Civic / Honda forum... but try the importers. Apparently demand is high, so I wouldn't expect huge discounts if that is the case.

lo
I paid the full price on Sept 1st. No offers or anything anywhere. If you go through an importer, expect lead times of 3-4 months, and you'll save apprx £1000-1500.

I decided I'd rather pay and go with a UK car and no, no regrets

You will be lucky to get more than a 500 quid discount to be honest. A couple of people have imported them and not very many have been succesful in having a hastle free time.

The best places to ask are:

Thanks for the ideas so far guys.
I came out of Sainsbury's in Kingston yesterday and parked next to my car in the car park was a shiny red CTR (even picking up the lingo now!) and I must admit, it looked pretty good.

I'll keep an eye out for any more responses as I'm keen to save my dad a few bob where I can.
