T350C Newbie here. I have purchased some lovely shiny new silver screw caps to replace the black standard ones covering the 8 screw points for mounting the rear screen and its bits. Can anyone advise on the process for changing them? Current ones are held on fast and i am reluctant to get physical ! One fell off hence the change and it appears to have some brittle glue like substance within it. New mounts look like they need gluing on also and again i would like a steer as to mounting materials. Thank you all in advance.

Mine were slightly difficult to remove but getting physical shouldn’t be an issue as long as you protect the glass from scratching. Think I gripped mine with pipe grips and just cracked them off. Not much meat to grip so put a cloth around the grips.

Oh and welcome to the forum. Pics please!!

From the factory they were held on with silicon sealant so easy to pop off with a small screwdriver underneath.

Previous owners may have used something stronger to hold them on of course, but a screwdriver underneath has worked on three cars for me.

Fitted new ones using a waterproof silicon sealant. Good luck.

May I ask where you got your shiny ones?

I was just thinking about spraying my originals black to tidy them up, but shiny could be better biggrin

Welcome to the forums,

Only about week ago at a tvr meet some of the lads were discussing these silver ones and why I don't go for it,also discussed the boot grab handle and spoiler.
I don't want a spoiler and I get in the boot no problem without the grab handle but you've got me thinking about the silver cap look. scratchchin
Probably car colour sensitive but I quite like the look of that on yours, more to the point are you happy with the look.
The black covers almost makes them a bit discreet, the silver ones you sure know they are there which is what I'm trying to work out do I want them to stand out.

Edited : Turned the picture.

Hi. Took me a while to make the change but now i can see them i'm happy. They match the fuel filler well. I find the grab handle a bit aggressive so haven't gone for that....yet!!
