Discussion
I have been surfing the net to find more info on the Chevy Small block and came across this company.

Do any of you have any experience with 32 Valve heads?
Ken my second car was going to have Custom headers anyway, ( Tony Law ) 2" pimaries etc. The width is not a problem they miss all the importent bits. Only problem may be if you've got a Can-Am, and can'nt have over the top of the head Exhausts. So 750 BHP hear I come.

You know there are other ways to get 750-800hp out of a smallblock chevy. Remember also that if your going to build a naturally aspirated motor whith that much hp, then its going to be tough making it streetable. Personally, this is why I like the idea of a customizable fuel injected motor where you can more precisely tune and distribute the fuel. The Ultima's such a light car that you can get away with more than most other cars. Have you looked at a nicely ported chevy nascar SB2.2 head or a big splayed valve head for comparison sake? It would also be wise to keep the torque under 600-650 ft. lbs. as you already know I'm sure.
Cheers!

They sound great but their use will require that you go to the trouble of finding or making a custome header. The width may also cause problems. 6K, I'll take the supercharger please.

"Use standard intake manifolds, cams, pistons to 10.5:1, and Hooker or Stahl 7 bolt pattern exhaust (Chevy) or Motor ‘n’ Sports (Ford) header flanges. Accessory holes in ends of heads. "

Wise words Mack. That's why I went for the (meagre

PS. LOVED Texas Mack. Didn't make it to Corpus C. but am mad for the state. The cost of living compared to the UK is unbelievable and those 4 car garages - WOW!!! Want a RAM pickup too!!
Don't be surprised if I emigrate in the next couple of years!

Can somebody tell me what the difference between the "horned" intake manifolds and standard centralized intakes is. Here are some pics to see what I'm talking about.

A Stahl exhaust pattern is a farily common pattern for exhaust headers on racing small block chevrolets. However I don't know if Ultima is selling their header with this bolt pattern. It is very different than the stock exhast header bolt pattern. The holes are further apart on the end cylinders and the center two are secured by three bolts, not two. It Ultima does sell this header then let us know.
Thanks,
Ken
