Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a BBQ for our caravan? I’m happy for it to be either electric or gas as the cost to use my own gas over electric is negligible.

Main thing it needs to be compact to fit in the caravan.

Thanks.

I've got a Cadac Carri Chef 2 (gas) as it's so versatile. With the paella or chef's pan you can do stuff like stir fries, fajitas, chilli, spag bol, etc. You can also do a fry up on it in the morning. Comes with a nice set of bags to pack it all up into. The Carri Chef is the biggest one, there are smaller versions to.

I've also got a Weber Go Anywhere for when we want a proper (charcoal) barbecue.

Have a look at the Weber Baby Q / Q1000

We've had one a few months now and it's been brilliant. They are quite expensive but usually come with a 10 year warranty and the quality is very good.

I'd second a Cadac BBQ. Got the smaller Safari chef with a couple of alternative plates.

Thank you all. Antony in particular thanks very much for the link to the other thread, it had all the info that I was looking for. We’ve gone for the Cadac Carri Chef 2 with the chef pan. Hopefully it will arrive before Next Saturday when we go to Bolton abbey for the week. biggrin

No worries. Get the paella pan (the 49cm one), you’ll never want to cook indoors again!
