Probably the best car in world, delivery of M5
Discussion
Here are my impressions after 150miles,
Incredibly surefooted,
Suspension dampening superb
You can spend hours tweaking all the cars dynamic settings.
Looks really good in black(imho of course)
Bigger than the e39(see pics)
Much faster, really fast car, havent nailed it or been past 5krpm but it has serious potential.
Gear shifts are intoxicating, downshifting is a joy
Its awesome, only gripes so far are that we cant find somewhere to put the house keys where they dont move around and annoy.

hey adam,
it looks really nice in the pics.
so when am i gonna be able to see it in the flesh? (we still need to sort out a track day for the summer!)
ive just realised that i have double booked next weekend (you thought you might come visit), as i am meant to be going to watch southend fc in the final at cardiff. so we will have to rearrange, and you will have to come see my house in the summer.
ps, we are in the process of moving from newbury aswell. we are buying a house just outside of exeter.
pps, enjoy the M5

You really do make life difficult, Adam: has there ever been a 650bhp E39 M5?
You utter bastard, well done. I'm so far beyond jealous it's a sort of mid-turquoise!
I look forward to cementing my feeling towards this frankly staggering vehicle in a few weeks' time...along with every other gobsmacked gawper.
Possibly the first time a family saloon takes the 'Most Coveted' trophy at a Brunter's sesh, what-oh?

Adam. I think I should amend the title of this thread. Having been out in the car on saturday afternoon "probably" should be deleted. It has to be the finest allround car for sale today. When you take into account the price I'd say it's great value for money.
I hope the new E60 serves the "T" family as well as the E39 has. I like many look forward to seeing the car again at VMAX where it can let rip in the PH manner.

I think it will do really well at Vmax, am hoping for the fastest 5 up(why do 4 when you can do five? )

I have to say that the looks of the thing dont send be spinning to a dealer like i expected. Im not saying its ugly, just that its not as distinctive as I expected except from the rear, where Eurotunnel must be concerned that trains might take a wrong turn up the exhausts.
It's very stealthy.. But Im sure it goes like a rocket.
