Punto JTD OEM clutch or stage clutch after the remap?
Discussion
My Punto's 2004 1.9JTD 85 with 125,000 miles on the clock, I have owned it since 31,000 miles the most reliable car that I ever had but it was quite a thirsty little car it never did near 57mpg or more on factory official the best it was 52.2 mpg my on calculator.
Recently I went for Celtic Tuning because the review it was great, I chose the remap is economy not performance because I knew it would kill the clutch and gearbox. It
gain to 30bhp and 51 lb/ft the torque wide from 1,200rpm to 2,700 rpm making less shift gears, the mpg it went up to 3 mpg more in town and 6 mpg more on motorway I was very satisfied with range of 627 miles from 49 litre tankful but till 2,000 miles later the clutch it was gone it is first time that Punto need a new clutch. I was not sure if I should get OEM clutch kit or get a Stage two clutch kits? has anybody experience with this company?
