Hey Folks,

please excuse any mistakes in my writing.

I am looking for (used) Leven Gear surround (Griffith) or / and the alloy steering column lever (Griffith / Chimaera).
May be someone is cannibalizing a crashed Griffith or Chimaera.

Best regards from Germany
Stefan K

Didn’t realize Leven (PPC) had ceased operations. That’s a shame, they did some useful bits.

I was about to explain about PPC absorbing operations, but then running down Leven stock. But it appears Paul has packed it in completely. frown Retired probably:

Hi
I purchase a gear lever surround from a fellow Griffith owner who had a small batch made.
I haven't fitted it and would consider selling it at cost plus postage.

If anyone is interested you can PM me

I can second the quality of Billyard’s alloy set. Beautifully made, and a good fit.
There is that moment during fitting when, having fitted the other two, it’s time to do the column stalks. So you hold your breath before sawing off the old column control stalks, and only let it out when the new ones fit fine. Just leave the remaining ends as long as you can.
Then there’s the moment when you get in the first time after fitting and cannot remember which is the wipers and which the indicators confused not something you ever suffered before, despite driving different cars regularly.

After that it is as if you have always had them, and they look great.

Know what you mean about which is which!

Surprising really as you never look at the stalks to know what you are doing. Until the little pictures aren't there anymore???

That’s exactly it! We never look directly at them, but must be seeing them in our peripheral vision, because take them away and you wonder why you don’t know which is which.
Nothing to do with age......despite my (cradle-snatched) wife suggesting otherwise.

Thanks to Precat / Anthony

The leven gear surround fits perfectly, doesn't it?

For interest to anyone: You don't have to drill holes into the dashboard.
In my case most of the screws were inside the gear "hole".
3 screws had to be shortened / sawed and only the heads was glued into the surround holes.

If I recall right all my screws fitted inside the trim without the need to drill, kind of just clamps the two pieces either side
